Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on Tarot
Got questions? You're in the right place.
I’ve noticed that many people come to me about the Tarot with a mix of curiosity and a touch of apprehension. They often wonder how a reading works, what they might feel during it, or if the cards will reveal something they would rather not face, such as fears, shame, or insecurities. My approach to Tarot is not about leaving you unsettled or disempowered. Instead, it’s a collaborative process; it's also not just me telling you a story, but us engaging with the cards together, exploring what truly resonates for you. Tarot is a tool for reflection, clarity, and growth, helping you explore possibilities, make informed choices, and feel more connected to your own wisdom.
If your question isn’t covered here, please reach out as I would be more than happy to connect and provide further guidance.
Why should I consider a Tarot reading?
A Tarot reading can provide valuable insights into your life, relationships, career, and personal growth. It also can help you gain clarity on your current situation, explore potential paths, and make informed decisions moving forward. I have often witnessed how Tarot can help someone become unstuck and walkway feeling empowered to tackle a certain worry, problem, or dilemma in their life. Tarot is rich in symbolism and archetypes that can help you to connect and uncover blind spots in your current thinking, decision-making, and/or actions.
Tarot can suggest possibilities and reflect energetic patterns, but in my experience, it does not predict a fixed future. Instead, it offers clarity about your current choices, emotions, and spiritual path. The future is always unfolding and you are a co-creator of what comes next. Tarot is here to empower, not dictate.
How can a Tarot reading help me make decisions?
A Tarot reading can present different perspectives and potential outcomes based on the energies and thoughts surrounding your situation. This information can help you weigh your options, consider new possibilities, and ultimately make informed decisions that align with your goals and values.
However, a Tarot reading is not intended to replace professional advice or guidance in any way. Furthermore, the results of Tarot readings are not guaranteed and may vary depending on individual interpretations and circumstances. As Tarot readings are not absolute and carved in stone, I may offer my opinion and advice when needed, but I will not interfere with the free will of you, the querent.
What types of questions can I ask during the reading?
You can ask specific questions about various aspects of your life, such as the following:
-
relationships
-
family and friendships
-
career
-
travel
-
finance
-
personal growth
-
self-improvement
-
decision-making

I will customize the reading to address your concerns and provide insights relevant to your query. For more insightful and deeper readings, I prefer questions to be open-ended using 'what, why, and/or how' instead of simple closed-end questions which have ‘yes’ or ‘no’ responses. If you are unsure of how to formulate the question for a specific area of your life, we can work on the question together for what resonates the most for you during the reading.

If you are really unsure of what questions to ask, that is completely okay. You are not expected to come with everything figured out. I often help clients discover the question they most need in the moment. Sometimes the cards guide us before words do. You do not need to have all the answers (or even all the questions) before you arrive.
What can I expect from a Tarot reading with you?
My Tarot readings usually last around 90 minutes and are generally completed in the following manner:
-
Before the Tarot reading, you should prepare your questions, preferably open-ended, so the reading can flow and time is used wisely. (Please see 'What types of questions can I ask during the reading?' section above for more guidance). Usually, I will ask you to pick a color and a number from 1-42 that first comes to mind and will explain their significance later in the session.
-
During the Tarot reading, I can start with a general card reading that may provide insight into what is going on around you or provide support for one of the questions you may wish to ask straightaway. For each of the questions, I will lay out the cards in a specific spread, usually in a Celtic Cross, in which I may explain the importance of the positions, symbols, and directions of the Tarot. I will then interpret the cards and discuss their meanings with you in the context of your question or situation, providing possible guidance and insight.
-
After the Tarot reading, I will ask you to pick a random card from one of my Oracle cards that may provide a summary or a closure to our session. I will send you a photo of the Oracle card, crystals used, and any other cards or weblinks that may be of interest and reference for you from our reading.
How do I prepare for my first reading?
Before your Tarot reading, it can be helpful to take a few moments to ground yourself and focus your energy. This will help you feel more present and make the most of your session. Here are some suggestions to help you prepare:
-
Reflect on your intentions: Consider what you hope to gain from the reading. Are there specific areas of your life you would like to explore, such as relationships, career, or personal growth?
-
Formulate open-ended questions: For deeper insights, try framing your questions using what, why, or how.
-
For example: “How can I attract a healthy and loving partnership into my life?”
-
Rather than: “Will I find love?”
-
-
Bring what helps you feel grounded: While you do not need to bring anything except an open heart, you may wish to have:
-
A notebook to jot down thoughts or messages
-
A favorite object (like a crystal or talisman)
-
A glass of water, cup of tea, or a lit candle
-
An intention, blessing, or prayer to guide the space
-
-
Come with an open mind: A Tarot reading may not always provide the answers you expect. It is not a genie that grants wishes, but rather a mirror to offer reflection, guidance, and sometimes unexpected clarity. The insight you receive may affirm what you already know or gently invite you to see things in a new light.
How often should I get a Tarot reading?
That is entirely up to you and your intuition. Some clients come when they feel at a crossroads, while others check in regularly for reflection and guidance. However, since many things in life take time to evolve, I usually recommend allowing 3 to 4 months between readings, or simply aligning with the rhythm of the seasons. This gives you space to integrate insights, take action, and notice how things shift.

Please note: It is important not to become overly dependent on readings. If you are feeling desperate or in an extremely vulnerable state, I would gently recommend waiting before booking a session. Tarot is a supportive tool, not a crutch. Trust in the process and allow your life to unfold in its own time. The cards will be here when you are ready to return.
Can we meet in person for a reading?
Yes, I love connecting face-to-face! At this time, I offer in-person readings within the London area at an agreed location. If you're nearby and would prefer to meet in person, just mention this when booking and we can arrange something that works for us both.
Can you do readings over the phone?
Yes. Since most of my clients are international, the majority of my readings are through video call. I primarily work through WhatsApp, but I am open to completing the reading on another video platform if using WhatsApp is not possible. If you are in the London area, it is also possible to have your cards read in-person. We can discuss which platform or location can work best for you.
Do you offer your Tarot services at events?

Yes! I absolutely love reading for people at events. Whether it’s quick, intuitive insights at a gathering or themed readings for special occasions, I have read at places like the Mind, Body, Soul Show at Alexandra Palace (pictured on the left), cozy cafés, and even out in the middle of parks and forests!

If you are planning an event and think Tarot would bring something special, feel free to reach out here. I would love to hear more!
